Kolte2 1Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Sinhgad Academy of Engineering, Pune University, Pune, INDIA, E-mail: [email protected] 2Shree Chatrapati Shivajiraje College of Engineering, Bhor, Pune University, Pune, INDIA, E-mail: [email protected] The major goal of a futuristic Mobile phone system is to provide excellent Quality of Service (QoS) to the user by enhancing the available Band width along with the establishment of assured, guaranteed seamless connection between the users in spite of nature, quality of the Networks used by them. In traditional algorithm relative signal strength and other conventional parameters are used for execution of the Handoff mechanism. With these parameters the enhancement in QoS was achieved up to certain extent. For further exploitment of the technique by using some Artificial Intelligence Techniques such as Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network, etc. The fuzzy logic based approach allows an organized tuning of the handoff parameters to provide a balanced tradeoff among different system characteristics.
